On the 13th, April, EHS supervisors and EHS engineers from all the subsidiaries as well as EHS committee members of Feilo joined together to participate the first quarter EHS meeting in 2018. It is a very significant meeting that closely followed the Feilo grand annual development meeting and also summarized and reviewed the year of 2017 and will push 2018 EHS work forward.
Firstly Feilo briefly summarized EHS work in 2017, which is also regarded the commendation congress via an annual performance assessment. There were free of fatalities, accidents with serious society impact and severe fire accidents on the way to carrying out work safety standardization, what’s more, minor injuries rate have got controlled effectively, which not only has met the annual safety goal perfectly, but also won the 1st place in the INESA’s annual performance assessment. The deputy general manager and superintendent of Feilo EHS committee office, Dai Weizhong, presented awards to those outstanding comprehensive EHS affairs managers and EHS employees won the Advanced Honorary titles in INESA and Feilo, highly appreciated the progress their companies had achieved and the hard work that every awarded personnel had done on the way to all the transitions they encountered.
In spite of a bit progress in 2017, it is only a start for the EHS management. How to secure the company’s business scheduled in a high quality in 2018 does need a clear safety goal and the tasks involved in achieving it. In the meeting, the safety goal and the main EHS tasks were stated and propagated, which required a higher quality in all participants’ work in basis of last year, combined with the contents in the annual work safety letters of responsibility to ensure all the tasks would finish in a smooth way.

Feilo EHS committee office listed all kinds of observations, such as insufficient special equipment upload, irregularly scheduled personal protective equipment distribution, some bases just transmitted INESA’s or Feilo’s massages and notices while they failed to create their own original EHS tasks, notices or requirements and so on. Therefore, all subsidiaries were called for a better maintenance on the platform, and monthly EHS report, which would supposedly reflect the EHS management status and expected targets punctually and objectively, was also called for an improvement. Meanwhile with the help of information and data to achieve a continual sum-up and improvement in EHS work.
There will be a long way to go based on the EHS work in 2018, Mr. Dai stressed EHS work cannot be compromised due to different difficulties, meanwhile, he added, prevention is the main way to avoid such accidents that ever occurred or may occur in Feilo these years, hopefully the EHS work group could commit an effective output and finish their tasks, learn from each other, grow up and make progress, with their contributions to create a better work circumstance for Feilo in safety.
Moreover, Feilo EHS committee office planed and organized a conversation in the topic of fire protection for all the participants, involving fire protection knowledge. By studying the theories and non-conformities referring to the domestic norms and standards, participants made a comparison and drew inferences from actual rectifications on the jobsite to achieve a better respective management in safety and finish the safety work standardization and normalization, finally to strive for building the own safety culture of Feilo itself.
